Derek Smart

Derek grew up on a farm near Moosomin. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in agriculture in 2009, majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Business. Derek managed the grain and commercial cattle operations on his family farm, adding a purebred Black Angus herd to the mix.

Derek now farms at Ebenezer, Sk with his wife Joelle and daughter, Scottie. They grow wheat, canola, and oats and still maintain their Angus herd, marketing their breeding stock annually.
