Insurable Crops
SCIC insures crop varieties suitable for local growing conditions throughout the province. Insurance is also available on a larger number of specialty crops. When selecting crops, distinguish between all wheat and canola varieties.

Soybeans
Coverage available at 50, 60, and 70%. Production Guarantee determined by individual coverage.

Sunflowers
Coverage available at 50, 60, and 70%. Production Guarantee determined by individual coverage. Insurance is available for oilseed full season and oilseed early maturing sunflowers.

Timothy Hay
Coverage available at 50, 60, and 70%. Production Guarantee determined by individual coverage.

Triticale
Coverage available at 50, 60, 70 and 80%. Production Guarantee determined by individual coverage.
Wheat (Canada Prairie, Extra Strong, Hard Red, Hard White)
Coverage available at 50, 60, 70 and 80%. Production Guarantee determined by individual coverage. Soft White spring wheat will be insured as Canada Prairie spring wheat.
Wild Rice
Coverage available at 50, 60, and 70 per cent.
Winter Wheat
Coverage available at 50, 60, 70 and 80%. Production Guarantee determined by individual coverage.
